Description
Description | CR 2373/Floyd Rd from Silver Comet Trail to CR 2894/Hicks Rd: along CR 2373/Floyd Rd from CR 2894/Hicks Rd to Silver Comet Trail in Mableton, Cobb County, GA. The project consists of constructing a 10’ multi-use trail which begins at Hicks Rd and runs along the west side of Floyd Rd and ends at the Silver Comet Trail for a total length of 0.64 miles. Existing traffic lanes will not be impacted by this project. There is an existing 24” curb and gutter and a 4’ to 5’ sidewalk throughout most of the corridor with exception to the first 70’ of the project, which has a 30” curb and gutter. Existing curb and gutter will be retained except where ADA ramps must be constructed. This proposed trail will be located on the west side of Floyd Rd, connecting the future trail to the Silver Comet Trail. There will be no pedestrian lighting, irrigation, or landscaping involved in this project. In order to minimize impacts to two properties, two short retaining walls are proposed. |
