Description

Description

The project begins approximately 200 feet south of Turner McCall Boulevard and continue north on Riverside Parkway for 1.54 miles to the Veterans Memorial Parkway (North Rome Bypass). The project will construct four (4) lanes divide with a 20' wide raised median with curb and gutter and sidewalk north to Veterans Memorial Parkway (North Rome Bypass). The bridge at Turner McCall Boulevard will be removed and an at-grade intersection will be constructed at Riverside Parkway and Turner McCall Boulevard. The bridge at Burwell Creek will be replaced. The propose 20 feet wide raised median will be widened to approximately 40 feet wide from just north of the Chieftains Museum to the Veteran Memorial Parkway (North Rome Bypass, to avoid as many oak trees as possible. Fifteen trees will be planted opposite the Chieftain Museum. Median Crossovers are currently proposed at the second driveway of the Welborn property and 1769 feet north from that point for a U-turn, at the first driveway entrance
