Description

Description

This project is the construction of sidewalks along the north side of Benjamin E. Mays Drive between Willis Mill Road and Beecher Road, both sides of Cascade Road between Fontaine Avenue and De Lowe Drive, and both sides of Fontaine Avenue between Venetian Drive and Cascade Road. This project will provide an American with Disabilities Act accessible route from the surrounding residential neighborhoods to the Cascade Road/ Benjamin E. Mays commercial district and Cascade Elementary School. It proposes new and retrofitted sidewalks, drive aprons, and American with Disabilities Act accessible ramps within the existing row matching the existing typical section. Proposed sidewalks will vary from 5' to 7' wide and a 2' planting strip between the curb and sidewalk where space permits.
