Description | This project is located along CR 451/Quaker Road, approximately 6.7 miles northwest of the city of Waynesboro in Burke County, Georgia. This project would replace the existing bridge on Quaker Road over Beaver Dam Creek (Structure ID 033-0039-0). The project consists of rebuilding the bridge in place to minimize right-of-way and environmental impacts. The bridge will be closed, and traffic detoured using an offsite detour. The proposed typical section for the roadway consists of two 11-foot travel lanes (one in each direction) with 6-foot grassed shoulders. The proposed typical section for the bridge consists of two 11-foot travel lanes with 4-foot shoulders. The total project length is approximately 0.2 miles. |
