Description | Projects STP-1105(4) and BHSLB-1105(5) begin south of the intersection of CR 65/Windsor Spring Road and SR 88 and terminate south of the intersection of CR 65/Windsor Spring Road and Willis Foreman Road. This phase of the project is approximately 2.25 miles long. The existing two-lane, 6-foot graded shoulder Rural Major Collector facility will be widened to four 12-foot wide lanes (two lanes in each direction) separated by a 20-foot wide raised median. 16-foot shoulders with 30-inch curb and gutter, a 4-foot wide bike lane, and 5-foot wide sidewalks will also be constructed on both sides of the roadway. Left and right-turn lanes will be provided at the major intersections as required. The existing two-lane bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad will be replaced with four 12-foot wide lanes (two lanes in each direction) separated by a 20-foot wide raised median. A 4-foot wide bike lane and 6-foot wide sidewalks will be constructed on both sides of the bridge. |
