Description

Description

The proposed project by the Crawford Bay & District Hall and Parks Association will upgrade the existing community hall’s building envelope and lighting, add heat recovery and demand-control ventilation, and make a small expansion to the accessible entryway. The project will reduce the 84-year-old building’s greenhouse gas emissions by improving energy efficiency and switching space heating/cooling from fossil fuel to clean grid electricity. The project works will include: - upgraded building insulation for foundation perimeter, walls, and roof; - building envelope vapour barrier; - replacement high-efficiency windows and doors; - expanded air-barrier entryway, approx. 42 m2; - heat pump, heat-recovery ventilator, and demand-control ventilation; - upgraded/optimized lighting; and - mechanical, electrical, control/monitoring, signage, and other related works and appurtenances.
