Creating with purpose: Inspiring communities through art

This project will bring together 3 artists from 3 partner countries, forming a core creative team that will collaborate across borders. The artists will begin their journey with an online training module focused on co-creation and participatory artistic methods, equipping them with the tools to engage meaningfully with local communities. The heart of the project lies in a rotating series of artist residencies and local community interventions. Each residency will take place in a different partner country and focus on one of the three core values of the New European Bauhaus:Aesthetics (Greece), Inclusion (Romania) and Sustainability (Germany). In each host city, the international team of artists will stay for approximately three weeks, during which they will: • Engage in interactive workshops and discussions with local youth, community members and artists • Explore how the selected NEB value manifests in the local context • Co-create diverse artistic pieces with community involvement based on the artists disciplines – music, dance and design • Present the outcomes in a local festival that celebrates both the creative process and the community's voice Each festival will culminate in an interactive exhibition that remains in the host city, ensuring a lasting physical presence of the project outcomes. Additionally, a dedicated online platform will host digital versions of the artworks, video documentation, and festival highlights to broaden public access and dissemination. The project promotes transnational artistic collaboration, community engagement, and intercultural dialogue while aligning with the New European Bauhaus vision. It enables artists to expand their local and international reach, facilitates the creation of new hybrid art forms, and fosters civic participation through creativity. The participatory element empowers citizens, especially young people, to reflect on their environment and articulate their vision for the future of their community.
