Through over 40 live and online capacity building and info-providing events, consultation meetings, and communication and dissemination activities, the Creative Europe Desk Cyprus (CED CY), will promote the Creative Europe programme in all areas of Cyprus, outreaching the entire creative and cultural sectors of the country. The Desk will identify and support potential applicants, by approaching public authorities (on local, regional and national levels), private and civil society organisations, as well as specialized audiences including, academia, journalists, corps diplomatique and other general or mediatory audiences. By covering the entire population of the island through various electronic and printed communication channels, CED CY will build awareness about the programme and its objectives, targeting particularly regions and creative clusters that have not participated in the Creative Europe or any similar EU initiatives before. It will provide practical and user-friendly information on the Creative Europe, impartial guidance and assistance, motivating the potential beneficiaries and applicants to develop transnational actions, while enhancing the competitiveness of their proposals through capacity building, training and networking activities. As a result of this work, the CED CY will produce numerous communication outputs including the databases, a website with a web-compendium of success-stories, newsletters, presentations, audio-visual material, brochures, social media content, and other promotional material, all documented in thematic reports. CED CY work processes will be systematically monitored and evaluated, and the final findings will be available to the national and EU authorities, while also used for the further improvement of the Desk’s working methods in the years to come.
