The Creative Europe Desk Germany is the national contact point for EU funding for the cultural, creative and audio-visual sectors. The Desk consists of five individual offices with different sectoral and regional missions. All Desks are officially nominated by the German State Minister for Culture and the Media who acts as coordinator for the consortium. This structure is supported by five different cultural and audio-visual institutions. Creative Europe Desk KULTUR in Bonn covers the sub-programme Culture for the whole of Germany. Four Creative Europe Desks MEDIA based in Berlin-Brandenburg, Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Munich cover the sub-programme MEDIA in the respective region. The cross-sectorial strand is covered by all five Desks in regard to the regional and sectorial origin of applicants. The Creative Europe Desks promote the Creative Europe programme across Germany, assist operators from all sectors in the application process and disseminate the results. As a joint kick-off event for the new Creative Europe Programme (2021-27) the online event “Pushing Boundaries” is implemented in May 2021 by all German Desks in cooperation with the Desks from Austria and Luxemburg. Until the end of the project each Desk will implement various events focusing on information and promotion of Creative Europe’s priorities and on the two sub-programmes plus the cross-sector strand. Furthermore, specific events in order to encourage German organisations and companies for European cooperation will be held as well as events with sector specific approaches. The Desks communicate on various social media channels and via two newsletters (one for MEDIA and one for Culture). A website with a joint landing page and dedicated parts for each sub-programme and the cross-sector-strand offers a comprehensive overview on funding schemes and results. All five Creative Europe Desks offer individual consultations for applicants in order to guide them through the application process.
