Description
Description | The Creative Europe Desk Greece, which operates under the Hellenic Ministry of Culture & Sports, has been designated as the special agency for the promotion of the Creative Europe 2021-2027 Programme in Greece. The Department of European Union/Directorate of International Relations and European Union, ex Directorate of European Union, has been designated - since 2000 - as the special service for the promotion of the Culture sub-Programme, while the Greek Film Centre, a supervised entity of the Ministry, has been assigned the role of promoting the MEDIA sub-Programme. The two services and their project managers and staff have a long experience and a strong bond between them, so as to carry out this task successfully. We have also been members of the broader network of Creative Europe Desks for long, so much that we consider ourselves as close colleagues and not as only members of remote national organisations. For the years 2021-2022, the main task of the Desk will be the promotion of the Programme throughout Greece, as well as other funding opportunities for the cultural and creative sector, either by the EU or by other national sources. Moreover, the Desk will try to assist the professionals of the cultural and creative sectors to submit coherent and successful proposals for EU funding, to give guidance to newcomers, to facilitate networking and promote capacity building to the interested stakeholders, in terms of transnational collaboration. The Desk will also focus on communicating the new horizontal priorities of the EU and the special objectives of the Creative Europe Programme towards the Greek cultural and creative organisations, in order for them to design their projects according to the new criteria and prerequisites. Furthermore, emphasis will be given to the diffusion of innovation and digitisation, gender equality and social inclusion, as well as promotion of environmentally friendly practices, so as for the cultural and creative professionals to become. |
