Savage Productions (company number 456789) is applying to CREA-MEDIA-2021-CODEV so we can codevelop our feature film project - THE CONVERT, with Wrong Men North, to the highest creative and market standards. This is with a view to increase our position in the marketplace - nationally in Ireland, transnationally between Ireland and Belgium, in Europe, and worldwide. We also intend to grow our ability to succeed creatively, and also in terms of scale of financing and budget. Our CoDevelopment Project is a folk horror feature film called THE CONVERT. We intend to prepare a screenplay with the writer, with in-house development input from two companies (Savage Productions and Wrong Men) and two countries (Ireland and Belgium), and also experienced story consultants.This process will be aided by directed development input with the attached director, and also by having consultants help with a dedicated and focused research programme into the historic and anthropological roots of the story. Creatively, production design and VFX supervisor input will also be prepared to further define the world and scope of the project. A visual teaser, allied to marketing materials will be prepared to allow the project to be successfully introduced and packaged, to help us find national and international financing partners, and also global market partners. Our objective for applying to Creative Europe is to develop our project to the highest standards, paying particular attention to managing innovation and creativity with the twin goals of sustainability and diversification to the forefront. Through innovative synergies with partners in financing, distribution, marketing and sales - we intend to develop a feature film that can deliver the required audiences and cultural reach to the very highest level internationally. Savage Productions holds the right for THE CONVERT, and has signed a codevelopment agreement with Wrong Men setting out the joint development plan for the project.
