The Credit Guarantee Mechanism for Micro-Enterprises project aims to improve and ensure access to credit for Moroccan micro-enterprises. Access to needs-based financial services for MSMEs, especially for micro-enterprises, is of great importance for containing the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Moroccan economy. To this end, the FC module Credit Guarantee Mechanism for Micro-Enterprises is being financed by means of a grant of EUR 20 million. The FC module Credit Guarantee Mechanism for SMEs provides a low-interest loan of up to EUR 50 million, as well as a grant of EUR 4 million as part of an accompanying measure. These two FC modules are an integral part of the German contribution to cushioning the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. They complement the low-interest loan Corona Emergency Aid in Morocco - Guarantee Mechanism to Mitigate Economic Impacts and the grant Corona Emergency Aid in Morocco - Guarantee Mechanism to Mitigate Economic Impacts for micro and young companies. The aim of the FC measures is to ensure or improve access to financing for Moroccan micro-enterprises and thus promote their survival and the revival of their economic activity.
