Description | Thematically this interdisciplinary module is dedicated to the teaching and research of EU law in one of the dynamically developing areas at the present stage - cooperation between EU member States in criminal matters. The target audience of the module is: 475 students studying law, 300 students studying IT, 150 lawyers, the general public (250 schoolchildren and the 75 elderly). The project members will make efforts to actively involve politicians, civil society and third parties in order to spread the importance of increasing interest in European studies at all levels. The purpose of the module is to deepen and diversify teaching and research in the field of European studies on the law and policy of the EU in the area of criminal justice, and to spread knowledge on this issue in Russia. It will be achieved through the implementation of a tailor-made course for MA students, an educational module for students of the specialist degree, a series of educational events for students, the development of existing courses on EU law and policy at the Faculty of Law of the Southwest State University (SWSU); the implementation of training modules on EU law in the course for students studying IT, as well as the preparation of training materials in this area. The module aims to develop interdisciplinary research in the field of EU law and policy. It will contribute to the growth of research interest in the field of studying the EU criminal justice among teachers and young researchers of the Law Faculty of the SWSU, as well as other universities in Russia and foreign countries (Belarus, Kazakhstan) through the organization of annual round tables, scientific seminars and an international conference. The module will contribute to the development of cooperation between the SWSU at the national and international level. The module will also disseminate knowledge about the EU to the general public through series of events for a non-specialized audience outside the academic community. |
