Crisis program for education and child health

According to estimates, up to 80% of the population in Yemen (21 million people) are dependent on support. State structures have partially collapsed since the beginning of 2015 due to ongoing fighting between government troops, rebel groups and an international coalition led by Saudi Arabia. The aim of the FC measure is to contribute to improving resilience in the current crisis by providing the population in need with access to basic services. This includes the restoration and equipment of destroyed schools, rehabilitation of rural water supply systems and access to basic health care and obstetric care in health stations and by mobile teams. The FC project worth EUR 22 million is intended to provide direct support to around 300,000 people. The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) is responsible for implementation as the direct provider.
