Cross-border preservation of ecosystem services and resilience management of high-quality cultural landscapes and habitats in the Nagelfluhkette Nature Park

Project objective: The aim of the project is to preserve the ecosystem services and the resilience of the extremely valuable and small-scale cultural landscapes of the Nagelfluhkette Nature Park in climate change and to raise awareness of the performance of a small-scale mosaic landscape. Description: The Nagelfluhkette Nature Park is considered a hotspot of biodiversity and offers numerous services for society through the interplay of different habitats: Ecosystem services are recorded and assessed on a spatial and cross-border basis. In pilot rooms, the results are discussed with regional, landscape-relevant stakeholders and recommendations for action are developed. In another area, a model implementation of an already existing public interest-oriented catalogue of measures (in cooperation with landowners and specialist authorities) is also carried out. The results will be processed publicly and converted into educational modules.
