Description | Cordelio Power, an independent power producer owned by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, has brought online its 135-MW Crossover Wind project in Cross County, Arkansas and has also completed project financing for the facility. Microsoft will offtake the project’s entire output under a 20-year contract. Cordelio secured a USD-375-million construction loan facility and a USD-173-million term loan facility from lenders SMBC, Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, National Bank of Canada, Royal Bank of Canada and BMO. A USD-263-million tax equity investment was completed with US Bank. The company acquired the project in 2023 from Steelhead Americas, Vestas' North American development arm. Vestas provided its US manufactured V163-4.5 MW wind turbines for the wind farm and will also provide long-term turbine operations and maintenance services. Construction was carried out by M.A. Mortenson company. |
