Description
Description | Crosstown Park South, also known as Big Bear Park, is a new 3,120-square-metre park located at the northwest corner of Eglinton and Don Mills in Toronto. The park features accessible pathways, seating, an open lawn area for play and relaxation, native trees and plants, and a children's play area with a multi-level structure including slides. A monumental bronze sculpture of a female Kodiak bear, called "Seated Bear With Friends," is located adjacent to the park. The park is part of a community development project and construction started in summer 2024. The playground is expected to launch in December 2025. There is also a future pedestrian connection planned to link the park with nearby trails and a future community centre planned within the development. |
