Description
Description | Rehabilitation of existing storm water system along O’Gemaa Miikan on Christian island. The existing storm water system is failing to divert water into the system. Due to the roadway consisting of sand and gravel the storm water is bypassing the system and cutting into the roadway instead of entering the storm water system. Crowning and hard-topping of approximately 400 Meter of roadway will enable the water to flow into the storm water system which will stop oil and contaminants from entering Georgian Bay, will stop sediment from blocking the piping system, will stop erosion of the roadway, and will fix other safety issues regarding the system. Completion of this project is critical to the safe/ efficient supply of water to the community, thus reducing potential impact on the Province’s health system. |
