Description | Crusoe Energy, an American AI data centre developer, has entered into a multi-year agreement with Kalina Distributed Power to build three colocated AI data centres powered by natural gas. The projects are proposed for Myers Energy Park in Red Deer County, Alsike Energy Park in Brazeau County, and Crossfield Energy Park in Rocky View County. Each site is chosen for its proximity to critical infrastructure and has an estimated cost of $1 billion. Crusoe will develop, own, and operate the facilities while purchasing electricity from Kalina's gas-fired plants through 15-year Power Purchase Agreements. Construction has not yet started on any of the projects. |
