Description

This project is the replacement of the structurally deficient bridge on CS 1191/Tucker Road over Dukes Bay Canal with a new Double Barrel 10' X 11' Box Culvert. The proposed culvert will be buried two feet to follow fish passage requirements, so it will function as a Double Barrel 10' X 9' culvert. The existing approaches consist of two 12' lanes, 5' grassed shoulders with open ditches. The proposed approaches consist of two 12' travel lanes, 6' shoulders with open ditches. 250' of the proposed roadway will consist of 3.5' paved shoulder, curb & gutter and drop inlets. The drainage system is to convey the roadway runoff away from the longitudinal buffered stream on the north side of the project as required by the Environmental Protection Division. The drainage system outfall will be located on the south side of the roadway. This project will be 500 feet (.095 miles) in length.
