Description

The project comprises the construction of CSIC Wind Power Tacheng Emin 1.3 million kilowatt wind power base, which started construction on September 26, 2024. It is located at Emin, Tacheng Prefecture, Xinjiang, China. The project of CSSC Wind Power Tacheng Emin is jointly developed by a joint venture company established by China Shipbuilding Group Wind Power Development Co., Ltd., Xinjiang Wuta Carbon Sink Technology Service Co., Ltd. and China Energy Engineering Group Xinjiang Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. The total installed capacity of the project is 1300MW, with an investment of $802.4m or 5.626 billion yuan, supporting the construction of 260,000 kWh energy storage facilities, and plans to install 120 wind turbines. It will be completed in April 2026. After the project is completed, the average annual power generation hours will be 2,492 hours, and 3.239 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity can be generated annually. It can save about 1.0074 million tons of standard Huaihe coal each year, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 2.75 million tons, reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by about 847 tons, and nitrogen oxide emissions by about 815 tons.
