Côte d'Ivoire - Project Preparation Facility (PPF) for the Agribusiness Youth Employment Project (Enable Youth-Côte d’Ivoire)

The present project preparation mechanism has been initiated in order to facilitate the start of the Enable Youth-Côte d'Ivoire project, ensure its good preparation and quality at the entrance. The Youth Employment Project in Agri-business - Enable Youth Côte d'Ivoire aims to build the capacity of young Ivorian graduates who are motivated and have the idea of starting businesses in the agricultural sector. Approved in 2016, this project is part of the Bank's Enable Youth program, which is a response to the high youth unemployment rate through agri-business in all African countries. The aim is to train and empower these young so-called "agripreneurs" (and thus lead to the creation of new agricultural enterprises, 50% of which will be owned by women). Its implementation will create economic opportunities and decent jobs for young women and men along priority agricultural value chains.
