Description | The project aims to exploit the potential of the northern area of Côte d'Ivoire, more affected by poverty and unemployment and by environmental pollution, accentuated by the low rate of access to the toilet, defecation in the nature and release of toilet flush products in inappropriate conditions. Its strategy is based on the recovery of waste that can be levers to contribute to economic and social development. It includes six (06) main areas of intervention, namely: (i) the promotion of new professions, through the sustainable launch of a dozen micro-enterprises that will employ 60 young people including at least 15 women and the capacity building of enterprises mechanical waste collection already in place; (ii) the facilitation, as a first step, of the access of at least 900 poor households to the toilets; (iii) the contribution, in a second step, to universal access to the toilet through a micro-credit system; (iv) facilitating the implementation of an inclusive service for the collection, transportation and treatment of waste products and their reuse in the surrounding agricultural perimeters; (v) contributing to resilience to climate change and preserving the environment; (vi) capacity building in project management of 8 town halls of which 6 will have bankable projects. |
