This project involves the expansion and improvement works of Terminal Cuenca del Plata located in Montevideo port, Uruguay. The project includes the construction of a second container terminal with an area of approximately 22 hectares and the construction of a second pier with a length of 700 meters and a planned depth of 14 meters.The scope of works also involves the following:New gantry cranes and horizontal transfer equipment;Improvement and modernization of cargo truck access systems;Repavement of the container existing terminal;New computer and control systems.The aim of the project is to double the current capacity of the container terminal to handle goods with 1,300 meters long of two docks.
