Description

Description

The project tackles low civic participation and social exclusion in the three cities, aiming to strengthen active citizenship and shared cultural heritage. The initiative transfers the methodology of Italian Proloco, third sector organisations that represent citizens' demands and promote civic involvement. This model will be replicated in Częstochowa and Loreto to increase the engagement of local communities. Activities include co-creation workshops, a conference on active citizenship and a final cultural festival. The workshops will educate young people, women and disadvantaged groups, involving them in the co-creation of cultural events that reflect their ideas and aspirations. The conference will bring together experts and local representatives to exchange best practices and discuss innovative solutions to promote civic participation. The project will culminate in a co-created cultural festival celebrating cultural diversity and shared values between the twinned cities. In line with the New European Bauhaus principles, the festival will integrate sustainability, inclusiveness and beauty, demonstrating how culture and active participation can overcome social challenges. This event will be a practical demonstration of the positive impact of active citizenship and co-creation. The project aims to institutionalise these practices in local policies, creating a lasting impact through third sector networks and transnational partnerships. Activities will continue after EU funding ends, supported by local resources and further funding, to promote a more inclusive and inclusive Europe.
