Description | This project will strengthen and stabilize the Cumberland House Airport runway, and potential sections of the taxiway and apron, to mitigate impacts of high water levels. It will also include a double seal surface treatment and the upgrading from low intensity runway lighting to LED medium intensity lighting. If deemed feasible during the final design phase, the runway may be also be extended by approximately 55ft (0.02km) to increase safety for airport users. This northeastern community is only accessible by air and a single access road. |
