Description
Description | The Curling/Westside Reservoir Project will build a new water storage tank and transmission mains to expand the City’s water distribution system. It will enable the development of a new 300-unit residential subdivision within city limits. The project aims to provide water to a new residential development area and tie into the existing water distribution system. The proposed development cannot be constructed due to insufficient water supply in the area. The project consists of the construction of a storage tank and necessary transmission water mains in the municipality of Corner Brook. The scope of the project includes building a water storage tank, a control building with necessary means of controlling water level, post chlorination equipment and 2400m of new transmission water mains to convey water to and from the tank. The project will provide potable water, fire protection and emergency storage to a considerable size area of the City, to enable or preserve 300 housing units and enable or preserve 100 affordable housing units. |
