Cybersecurity for Resilient Software Development

This proposal focuses on the realisation of the CONSOLE automated platform, composed of interconnected modules and complementary training services provided to the European organisations active within the software development industry. The goal of implementing CONSOLE is to improve the cybersecurity of software development process while: (i) significantly reducing the acquisition costs for the end-users (mainly EU SMEs) and (ii) ensuring a robust cybersecurity level for the software applications and systems, as well as for organisations and citizens. The platform is designed to allow automated and real-time testing of software development within a realistic environment, utilising new techniques and edge computing technologies (end-point detection based on complex ML algorithms, ML-enabled visualisation modes, dynamic analysis framework and XR developments). The project involves 11 organisations from 6 EU member-states and associated countries, and is structured into 5 work packages, each with specific objectives, deliverables, and milestones. The project will provide a comprehensive solution that significantly improves the security of software development, with a focus on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The project will also facilitate the commercialisation and market entrance of the platform, and its associated training services, through a consistent commercialisation effort and strategy. Through rigorous analysis, development, testing, and validation of the platform (across the pilots coming from 4 different verticals and throughout the Open Call), the project will provide a reliable and secure solution that can be implemented within the software development process.
