Description | Cypark Resources Bhd, was developing the 5MW solar and 2 MW biogas (from landfill gas) plant (combined), at the Integrated Renewable Energy Park, in Pajam. This was phase 2 of the project, adding to the earlier 8MW in PV panels. The PV element of this plant consisted of 20,000 panels. The biogas engines (2x1MW) are purchased from Guascor, from Spain. Cypark was cooperating with LG, from South Korea, on this project. Construction started in March 2012 and commissioning was expected for 31 November 2012. The output was to be supplied to Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB). The Park was part of the government's Economic Transformation Programme. The project has a 21 year PPA. No further information was available. Financial closure date was assumed at May 2012, 25% into construction time starting in March.
