The Installing of Water and Sewer Infrastructure in Cyr Street Extension Project in Oromocto, New Brunswick addresses the town’s housing and infrastructure needs by extending Cyr Street to Terry Fox Drive. The project involves installing drinking-water and wastewater infrastructure to unlock or enable almost six hectares of municipally owned land, including just over four hectares of land zoned for high-density residential development (including non-market or social housing). This includes planning and capital construction components (e.g., 840 metres of kerb and gutter, 490 metres of sidewalk, various utility installations, etc.). The project is expected to enable 300 new housing units, all within walking distance of an existing school and commercial amenities.
