Description
Description | The CREATE project addresses the urgent need to strengthen EU-related education in Czech secondary and vocational schools, particularly in non-urban and peripheral areas, where exposure to EU topics remains limited. Many teachers lack the necessary resources, methodologies, and confidence to integrate EU subjects effectively into their lessons. To bridge this gap, CREATE provides comprehensive teacher training, equipping educators with practical tools, innovative pedagogical methods, and first-hand experience of EU institutions. The project follows a co-creation approach, ensuring that teachers and EU experts collaborate to develop engaging, relevant teaching materials. Key activities include: - Developing the Matching Grid, linking EU topics with school curricula. - Delivering blended teacher training, combining online and in-person sessions. - Organizing the Discovery Europe Field Trip to Brussels, providing selected teachers with an immersive experience at EU institutions. - Piloting newly created educational materials with students in participating schools. - Creating an open-access digital repository, ensuring long-term availability of EU-focused learning tools. - Hosting dissemination events, including Europe's Days in schools and a final conference at SAVS. Expected outcomes include: - 40 trained teachers equipped to teach EU topics. - 250+ students engaged in EU-focused learning experiences. - Sustainable integration of EU subjects into Czech school curricula. - A strengthened network of educators, schools, and EU practitioners. |
