It is the world's first plant to secure certification proving its output meets the EU's definition of renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBO). The project uses 50 proton-exchange membrane (PEM) and 39 alkaline electrolysers to produce 32,000 tonnes of green hydrogen and 180,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually once in full production. The green ammonia is expected to be delivered to Europe, Japan, and South Korea. |
