Description | The Daanbantayan Solar Project is a 150-megawatt renewable energy solar farm located in Barangay Tingub, Daanbantayan. It covers 187 hectares and involves land conversion clearance for 80 lots. The project is a joint venture between Acciona Energia of Spain and Freya Renewables Inc. of Makati, developed under a 25-year build-transfer-operate scheme with Power China as the contractor. Initial engineering work has started, and construction is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, targeting connection to the power grid by the end of 2027. |
