Description | Truong Son Hydroelectric JSC, a private entity, was planning the development of the 8MW Dakrong 3 Hydropower Plant, Ta Long commune, Dakrong district, Quang Tri province. The project was expected to generate 31,370 MWh annually to the national grid via a 35kV transmission line of 3.4km to the Khe Sanh station. The project was designed to consist of 2 Francis vertical shaft turbines of 4.135 MW each and 2 generators of 4 MW each. Commissioning was expected for January 2012. The plant load factor was expected to be 45.68%. The power tariff was VND 793 per kWh, $0.0381 per kWh. Construction started in 2010, the construction contract was signed in August 2010 Total project cost was estimated at VND 187,538 million ( $8.9 million). Debt to equity ratio was 70/30, the lending rate was 13.41% with a tenor of 10 years and a 2 year grace period.
