Dakrosa Hydropower JSC, a subsidiary of Thac Mo Hydro Power Joint Stock Company in turn a subsidiary of EVN, developed the 2.4MW Dakrosa 2 small hydropower plant, Ngoc Tu Commune, Dak To District, Kon Tum Province. The project was expected to generate 10,986 MWh annually. The project consists of three turbines, of 0.87MW each, run-of-river with small reservoir. Load factor was expected to be 53.3%. In October 2012, Thac Mo Hydro Power Joint Stock (a subsidiary of EVN) purchased 61% of the equity in the developer at a price of 48.3 million Dong (US$230,000). The output is sold to the national grid and evacuated via a 22kV line. Tariff was expected to be 601 Dong/kWh. Operational life was estimated at 30 years. Total investment was estimated at 50,371 million Dong US$2.4 million). Financing was expected to be done on a 60/40 debt to equity basis, with a commercial loan priced at 12.75% and a tenor of 12 years and 2 years grace. Based on D/E of 60/40, the total debt size was US$1.44 million, and US$ 0.96 million in equity. Project IRR was calculated at 9.02% without CDM financing and 15.56% with CDM financing. The project applied for UNFCCC CDM financing.
