Dallas and Williamson Counties Precinct-Level Voting Shift

planned

Dallas and Williamson counties in Texas are shifting from countywide voting sites to precinct-level assigned neighborhood polling places for the March 3, 2026 primary election. This change requires voters to cast ballots at their assigned precincts rather than centralized countywide locations, affecting both Republican and Democratic voters. The shift aims to increase confidence in voter registration accuracy but raises concerns about voter confusion and logistical challenges such as finding enough polling locations and election workers.
