Description

Description

The project involves the demolition of the 35-year-old Damon Parking Ramp in downtown Rochester, Minnesota, with an estimated 90% of the materials, including architectural glass, metal, and concrete, being recycled or reused. Watson Recycling and its offshoot Infinite Recycled Technologies are responsible for recycling an estimated 250,000 pounds of architectural glass and over a million pounds of metal from the site. The glass is processed at a facility in Albert Lea using a patented process to separate glass from plastic sandwiched between panes. This project is part of Mayo Clinic's $5 billion "Bold. Forward. Unbound. In Rochester" initiative, aiming to support sustainability goals.
