Dangote $2.5bn Urea Fertilizer Plant in Gode, Ethiopia

planned

Dangote Group and Ethiopian Investment Holdings signed a shareholders' agreement to develop, construct, and operate a world-class urea fertilizer production complex in Gode, Ethiopia. The project will have a combined production capacity of up to three million metric tons per annum, making it one of the largest single-site urea fertilizer production complexes globally. It includes advanced gas transport pipelines from Ethiopia's Hilal and Calub gas reserves, storage, logistics, and export infrastructure to serve domestic and regional markets. The project also allows for potential expansions into other ammonia-based fertilizers.
