Description

Description

The Dangote Group is developing a large-scale industrial project in Nigeria, including the Dangote refinery at Lekki, Lagos, designed to process around 650,000 barrels per day of crude oil, making it Africa's largest single-train refinery. Plans are underway to expand the refinery to 1.4 million barrels per day, positioning Nigeria as a refining hub for West and Central Africa. Complementing this is a fertilizer complex with an initial annual capacity of 3 million metric tonnes, aimed at making Africa self-sufficient in fertilizer within 40 months by doubling capacity. The project includes integrated supply chains, logistics, and infrastructure such as a 435 MW power plant and a fleet of 4000 compressed natural gas tankers to support cleaner fuel distribution and energy transition.
