Description | A multi-billion dollar oil refinery project in Tanga, Tanzania, led by Aliko Dangote, aiming to reduce fuel prices across the East African Community by lowering reliance on imported refined products. The refinery will serve as the primary processing hub for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) and is expected to have a refining capacity of 250,000 barrels per day, producing Euro-V quality gasoline and diesel. The project is projected to create 15,000 direct and 40,000 indirect jobs and integrate with regional transport corridors. |
