Description | US renewables developer Clearway Energy Group has put on stream its 55-MW Dan's Mountain wind farm in Maryland, a plant expected to generate electricity for about 24,400 homes annually. The wind farm is equipped with nine American-made General Electric turbines, installed across 2,800 acres of privately owned land and former coal strip mining land. It is run under a long-term power purchase agreement with Maryland-based utility Constellation Energy Corporation. The project represents an investment of USD 180 million and is part of Clearway’s operating 550 MW Appalachian wind portfolio. |
