Southern Hydropower Joint Stock Company was planning the development of the 13.5 MW Dasiat hydropower plant, near Loc Bao Commune, Bao Lam District, Lam Dong province. It consisted of two turbines of 6.75 MW. The project was designed to produce 57.163 MWh annually. It applied to UNFCCC CDM financing and got accepted January 11th 2011. The CERs issued were to be bought by Grey K Environmental (Europe) II Ltd. The EPC contract was awarded to Cavico Corporation, valued at $4.36 million with a duration of 18 months. The project was located downstream of Dong Nai 3 and Dong Nai 4, both owned by EVN. Construction started on July 1st 2006. Financial close was reached on November 22 2005. Industrial Commercial Bank of Vietnam (Incombank), Vietcombank, and Agribank agreed to syndicate VND 169 billion.
