DataControl: Reliable, Secure and Comprehensive cloud backup as a service solution

New technology trends like IoT, open-source databases and cloud storage are revolutionizing how business store their data, and by 2020 it is expected that 78% of SMEs will backup their data directly on the cloud. While the cloud provides higher flexibility and data availability for businesses, it also creates new challenges, like data security, governance and geo-localization; challenges that have increased with the implementation of the GDPR last year. In order to respond to companies’ needs, we present DataControl, a complete and reliable backup management tool for all professionals working with Open Source databases stored in the cloud. It provides full integration with the top cloud hosting providers and most popular Open Source database management systems. DataControl’s backup encryption, verification and geo-locality capabilities will bring European companies a full control over their data, providing reliable backup operations. Founded in 2011, Severlnines currently employs 30 people and has deployed its popular ClusterControl product to clients worldwide. Thanks to this project, we will gain a privileged position in the global cloud backup solutions market. We will increase our turnover in more than €7.6 million revenues only 3 years after commercialization, reaching more than 1,500 clients through partnerships with small and medium-size European hosting and cloud providers.
