"The project comprises the construction of an offshore wind power base in Danzhou Yangpu, Hainan Province, China, called Datang CZ3 offshore wind power project. The construction work started on April 9rh, 2024, with the beginning of the onshore control center. The offshore facility started construction in June, 2024. The project is invested and constructed by China Datang Corporation, with a total investment of about $2018.6m or 14.6 billion yuan, sourced from the equity of the company. The capacity is 1200 MW - 120 10-MW wind turbines, two 220 kV offshore substations, control center, four submarine cables, connected to the newly built Shantang Station via a 14-kilometer 220 kV line. Datang CZ3 and Shenneng CZ2 project started at the same time are the first batch of offshore wind power projects approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources in Hainan Province.
