"The project comprises the development of Datang Tieling 500MW wind power base, located in the towns of Xialushu, Simiancheng, Sihe, Taiping and Shuangmiaozi, Changtu County, Liaoning province, China. The base contains three smaller projects: the Kaiyuan Qingyunbao 200MW wind power project, the Changtu Jinshan Phase II 150MW wind power project, and the Changtu Songjiajie 150MW wind power project. It started construction around April 8, 2024. The project is invested by China Datang Group Co., Ltd. with an investment of $490.2m or 3.547 billion yuan. After the project is fully completed, it will be able to provide 1.585 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity to the power grid each year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.3643 million tons. It is planned to build 100 wind turbines with a single capacity of 5MW, build and expand three 220kW substations and build three new transmission lines.
