Description | IFC is considering a US$ 70 million investment in Empresa de Energia del Pacifico EPSA, a subsidiary of Celsia power company, with solar energy generation projects in Colombia. In the proposed Project IFC would fully subscribe up to US$70m in green bonds to be issued by EPSA. Four greenfield solar generation projects are included in the pipeline of investment with a total of 178 MW of power generation capacity. The projects are located at Yumbo (11,2 MWp), Chicamocha (91 MWp), Valledupar (66 MWp) and Bolívar (10 MWp) The projects are located near or adjacent existing power substations and just at Chicamocha there will be a need for construction of a new power substation.Most projects are located in existing owned lands by EPSA or Celsia with one exemption, Valledupar that is under long term land use agreement |
