Description | The proposed transaction involves a total bond issuance of US$120 million by Jordan Kuwait Bank PLC (JKB or the Bank), comprising an IFC subscription of up to US$100 million and an additional up to US$20 million from a co-investor. The Bank will issue a six-year, senior, unsecured green bond through a private placement (the “Bond” or the “Project”). This will be JKB’s second Green Bond issuance, aligned with the International Capital Market Association’s (ICMA) Green Bond Principles. The use of proceeds will follow the Bank’s Green Finance Framework, published in 2023. The Project is expected to be supported by the Market Accelerator for Green Construction (“MAGC”) Program as described in the Blended Finance Section. |
