De Beauvoir New Homes Project

project in planning

The De Beauvoir New Homes Project involves a major regeneration and infill housing development by the London Borough of Hackney, aiming to deliver up to 341 new homes across multiple sites within the existing De Beauvoir Estate. This project will provide new housing, community and commercial spaces, and upgrades to public areas throughout the De Beauvoir Estate. All ten sites are currently in either the pre-planning or active planning phase.Originally built in the late 1960s, the existing De Beauvoir Estate includes 870 homes and five tower blocks between 15 and 19 storeys. The regeneration plans aim to deliver up to 341 new homes—including approximately 45% affordable housing, with around 90 homes for social rent—on underused infill sites, alongside major improvements to public spaces and pedestrian routes across the estate.
