The aim is to develop a 3x90min TV Series project provisionally entitled DE BURGO, which follows the Interpol's Eco Squad on their mission to fight ecological crimes all over Europe. This development phase includes the writing of two episodes with a close in-depth research on environmental disasters and criminology. It also includes scheduling, budgeting, casting, location scouting, analysis of the project's carbon footprint, and the seeking of other financiers and more broadcasters in addition to ZDF and RTL. Deal Productions (Luxembourg) and their partner Splendid Film (Germany) are film and TV Series production companies that are prepared to work together for the first time. Altogether, these two companies represent nine people working full-time on this project, to whom we can add at least five more people who work under a temporary contract. Creative and pre-production documents such as bible, script, financing plan, budget, cast list, sales estimates and carbon footprint evaluation are the types of documents that will be produced with the help of the MEDIA grant. The final/concluding objective of this European co-development grant is for the DE BURGO to be fully ready to start its production at the beginning of 2023.
