Description

Description

8 Rivers Capital, LLC, in collaboration with Siemens Energy, has contracted with the Navajo Transitional Energy Company (NTEC) to conduct a technical feasibility study for a proposed power plant project at a site co-located with an existing NTEC coal mine. The project aims to deploy 8 Rivers' proprietary Allam-Fetvedt Cycle (AFC) power cycle technology and direct-fired supercritical CO2 turbines to deliver ultra-low-carbon coal power production with inherent carbon capture, eliminating air emissions with only liquid water and pipeline-ready CO2 as byproducts. The project would provide up to 1000 megawatts of equivalent generation, capturing approximately 8 million tons of CO2 per year, supporting clean energy generation, economic prosperity, and energy security for the Navajo Nation and the region.
